The Teviot Brook

Travelling from the Queensland - New South Wales border to the Logan River.
Eventually finding my way to Moreton Bay
Very rarely do I have my say
Instead I trickle along my merry way
Overcoming any obstacle placed in my way
Tropical rains do make me hurry to the bay
Bringing beauty, pleasure and life to those I touch along the way
Rarely do I hurry because after all I am a Brook
Over rocks and sand I carve my way
Overhanging branches keep me cool so I do not cook
Keeping within my banks until I reach Moreton Bay
where my life does ebb away.
