Dear Chris and fellow Highway Wanderers,

It is with great regret and after much soul-searching that Helene and I have made the decision to resign from the Highway Wanderers Chapter.

Since its inception in May 1994 we have thoroughly enjoyed the company and friendship of its members and hopefully it has been reciprocated.

We leave behind many great memories of fun times and great social occasions. Who can forget the great skits organised by Helene, the competitive spirit in the disc bowls competitions, the many Christmas parties and the social occasions held at the rallies as a fun-filled group. Not to mention the countless happy hours over the past 16 years.

We are proud to have served on the committee as Secretary, President and Vice-President over the years and hopefully our efforts went towards making the chapter one of the biggest and most admired chapters within the CMCA. The hosting of the Anniversary Rally at Roma in May 1998 was a great achievement for our chapter and something we can definitely be proud of.

Seeing as we have been attending many of the Suncoasters’ chapter meetings for the past 12 years as visitors we feel that we should be supporting them more as our local chapter, especially when we won’t be attending rallies again for at least a couple of years and thus would not be actively involved with the Highway Wanderers. We hope to continue to enjoy the company and friendship of the Highway Wanderers when we can and will always think of the chapter as our first great motorhome family. Words cannot express the comradeship and fellowship we have felt with you all. Hope to see you on the road sometime.
