Welcome to the second
Deni Rally Chapter
Newsletter.
1.12.10
WOW is this going to be a great Rally.
The Craft Barn in the capable hands of Chrissy Euctase is
shaping up to become one of the most comprehensive ever offered to our members. Chrissy
has some 30 teachers convening many classes.
Venue for the craft barn will be in a marquee with clear
sides which will provide an attractive work area for our members who sign into the various
classes.
How it all works – Chrissy has established a team of
craft people who will conduct classes to pass on their creative talents to our members. On
Day one of the Rally these teachers will set up a demonstration table in the Craft Barn to
allow our members the opportunity to view what is available to them. Members then choose
which activities to enroll in. Some activities involve a cost which is to cover the cost
of materials used in the session. Session times and instructor names will be displayed in
the Rally Program that will be handed to you on your arrival to the site. The Program will
also be on our website when it has been finalized.
Display of Arts and
Crafts. We have a huge number of talented
members and we have the opportunity to display a variety of works in the Trade Shed which
has a large area of display cabinets. If you have a piece of work or several you would
like to display bring them to the Rally. Share you items with others by putting them on
display.
A variety of Seminars/
Workshops is already planned. The Deni Golf Club
Conference Room has been hired as the venue for seminars. We will also be using other
venues including the Men’s Shed and 1 or 2 marquees.
Among the seminars/workshops already planned are
–
Ukulele Beginners Workshop. NOTE prior
booking for this workshop is essential as the presenter provides a new ukulele to each
participant – they are tuned prior to the class at the Rally. A cost of $40 per participant is
levied to cover the cost of a ukulele {Valued at $45] workbook and tuition.
Ukulele Players Workshop. NOTE prior booking necessary. Cost $15. This workshop is for those who completed the beginners
workshop at Port as well as for uke players in general who wish to further develop playing
skills and technique, or just enjoy some musical fellowship and fun. Interested parties
should contact Rob Nichols personally by phone 02
49598078 , 0407298060 or email rob2roam@bigpond.com to register interest.

participants. Parents wishing to make use of the Club for their children MUST register
their children prior to the rally. Our Kid’s Club Organizer plans on running two sessions

WOW We only need 400 knee rugs to reach 4000. Can we DO
IT IN DENI?
Pamper Room There have been many requests to set up a
Pamper Room at rallies where members can have a neck or head massage, have a trim, facial
waxing or even a manicure. If you are a trained beautician or hairdresser and would like
to spend some time working in the Pamper Room please contact us.

Deniliquin Rally Newsletter -
Austwide Chapters/Interest groups
During April 2011 the CMCA will be holding the
25th Anniversary Rally in Deniliquin in Southern new South Wales.
As Deniliquin is in easy reach from anywhere in
Australia we are urging Austwide Chapters / Special Interest Groups of the CMCA to make the
Deniliquin Rally the Site for their April 2011 Get-to-gether.
The Rally will offer many great attractions that
will provide your Chapter/ Interest Group members with a very good reason to make a visit to
Deni.
Deni itself is a very interesting town with a link
to Australian history through the development of the Merino sheep. The Peppin Information
Centre and Museum is located in Deniliquin.
Memorial Park, the site of the Deni Rally is
located within the town area and only some 500 metres from the main shopping precinct which
will give members the opportunity to walk into town should they wish. Shuttle buses will also
provide a service to town.
Old favourites such as Poets’ Breakfast,
Photographic Competition, Craft Activities, Seminars, Disc Bowls, Evening Entertainment and
of course Morning Tea will be included along with some new ideas that I hope to be able to
develop into the program.
Being the 25th Anniversary Rally special
activities will be held to mark the occasion.
There will, as usual, be limited powered sites. If
you can go with out power please do so and this may allow a club member who needs power to
attend the Rally.
Very Special
Offer.
The first 400 members to register for an UNPOWERED
SITE will receive an invitation to enter the Rally site on Sunday April 10th. Your invitation
will be sent out from National Head Quarters with your official receipt for your Rally
registration. There are no official functions organized for the 10th. However the Deniliquin
RSL will be open for business providing meals and live entertainment. The RSL Courtesy bus
will run to the site on this evening.
Regular Rally updates will be forwarded to your
Chapter/ Special interest Group in the lead up to the Rally. We will also be posting
information on our website at www.denirally.com
CMCA was founded on the 11th April
1986.
The 25th Anniversary Rally commences on the 11th
April 2011. Let’s all celebrate together this very special occasion.
Come on Austwide Chapters/Special Interest Groups
